Vintners and restaurateurs have welcomed the signing of a bill into law which allows for the reopening of indoor hospitality next Monday.

Paul Montgomery, the owner of Clancys Bar in Cork says pubs and restaurants can now start organising staff and stock.

A number of publicans in Cork have announced are stay shut as many of their young staff are still not Vaccinated.

The Bulman in Kinsale and Longboats in Blackrock say they won't be bringing back indoor dining on Monday.

And Benny McCabe, who owns 13 pubs across the city, announced he too will wait.

Speaking to RedFM News, Paul Montgomery from Clancy's bar says the Monday's return is a welcome development.

"It gives us certainty now for next week, which is most important as we're getting staff and stock and food ready, and gearing up for bookings more importantly.

"It's not a walk up business any more, people are organised in advance and have their bookings made weeks in advance.

"It will mean a lot of certainty for jobs next week, and it will mean a lot of certainty for business and the viability of our business."
