A virtual choir with over 2,500 members is doing its bit to raise funds for a good cause during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Virtual Voices Choir, led by music teacher and Operation Transformation Leader Shane Farrell, are releasing weekly recordings via their Facebook page 'Virtual Voices with Shane'.

The choir has now turned their attention to raising much needed funds for Saoirse Ruane, who last year at the age of 7 was diagnosed with a rare cancerous tumour, ultimately leading to the amputation of her right leg.

A new single from the choir entitled 'Sing for Saoirse' has so far raised over €5,000 towards the 'Support our Saoirse' GoFundMe page.

Speaking to RedFM News, Virtual Voices Choir Conductor Shane Farrell says the single has already made an impact.
