In the past six weeks over 400 new patients who are suspected of having cancer have attended rapid access clinics, 200 people have started radiotherapy treatment, 50 have started chemotherapy while vital cancer surgery has also continued as normal.
Front line medical staff say people are beginnning to return to hospital for urgent non-Covid treatment, following concern that some people would not seek help.
