The County Council had proposed to close the Ringmeen-Ballyleary Road in Cobh from 8am to 5pm daily, between 3rd April and 5th April 2024.
The closure would allow for new underground service connections.
An alternative route will run from the junction with L-2965-0, head west, then turn right into Cluain Ard Estate, and follow the main road until rejoining L2994-0.
Local access will remain open.
Objections to the closure can be sent in writing, quoting Ref: TRC-15-2024, by 5:00pm on Thursday, March 29th.
