A family living in a Council flat on Fort Street in the city say they have been living with rodent infestations in their home for a number of years.
Anita and Mohammed Mukhtar say they have had enough and now want to move out of the flat they have called home for over 10 years.
They say they have been trying to contact the Council by phone and email but have not received a response to their complaints.
Anita told RedFM News that they previously secured a €20,000 credit union loan to carry out essential repairs to their flat but they now want to be moved:
"And even though we spent that much money, that was our home but now the situation with the rats is just too much."
