The Department of Health has been notified of 1,098 cases of Covid-19 this afternoon.
The figure is a decrease of 329 on yesterday's figure.
There are currently 163 Covid-19 patients in hospital - of which 26 are in ICU.

69 percent of young people living in very rural areas of mid- and north-west-Cork say that their mental health was the area of their lives most adversely affected by the lockdowns.

The HSE has more than doubled advertising spend due to public health messages about the pandemic.
In 2019 advertising accounted for 4.9 million euro, while last year that figure soared to 10.9 million euro.
The Sunday times reported that 7.32 million euro was spent on pandemic-related messaging alone from March 2020 to last month.

A DCU Professor says experts believes Ireland must vaccinate over 90 per cent of people here to drive down coronavirus.

Police in France have fired tear gas and water cannons at demonstrators as thousands took to the streets in Paris to protest against the 'special virus pass'.
It requires proof of a coronavirus vaccination or a negative test for entry to restaurants and all domestic travel.
It's the third weekend of protests against the pass which is due to be brought in on the 9th of August.
