The origin of the Coronavirus has been tracked to a single stall at a food market in China.
Three major studies examined thousands of samples from the market at the centre of the outbreak.
A majority of early infections have been linked to the Huanan Seafood Market in Wuhan.
Trinity Professor Luke O'Neill says Chinese and an international consortium were involved in conducting the research.
"They've tracked down to a single stall in the market where 156 cases came from that stall.
"Once it began in early January they went in and took thousands and thousands of samples from all over the market, and they sampled hundreds of animals too.
"And from that they are saying that one stall could be the origin because so many cases could be tracked to that stall."
