The food delivery company are celebrating their sixth birthday in the Rebel County and have teamed up with Oak Fire Pizza in order to do so in real Cork style.
‘The Rebel Pizza’, is a sweet pizza, inspired by Cork’s famous red and white flag, it is also the first sweet pizza Oak Fire Pizza have created.
Oak Fire Pizza is one of Cork’s most well-known pizza spots, with 5 restaurants across the county.
Since Deliveroo launched in Cork 230 restaurants have signed up to deliver food across the Rebel County, which in turn created work for more than 530 people.
‘The Rebel Pizza’ consists of a gorgeous dough base which is then covered in a hazelnut cream, topped with fresh cream, white chocolate chips and flaked almonds on one side, and strawberries on the other.
Speaking about the pizza, Sarah Loane, Operations Manager, Oak Fire Pizza said:
“Deliveroo has helped us and hundreds of other restaurants from across Cork reach its customers, especially during pandemic. So, we jumped at the chance to help them celebrate six years in the Rebel County. ‘The Rebel Pizza’ is an ode to Cork. Happy Birthday Roo!”
The pizza is available from Friday the 15th to Sunday the 17th October and cost only €7.
It is important to note that the pizza is only available to order exclusively through Deliveroo from Oak Fire Pizza’s Gillabbey Street store.
