Drivers in the city were slapped with almost 42,000 parking fines in the first 10 months of this year.
The Echo is reporting that the City Council also issued 516 litter fines between January and the end of October - collecting €42,536 as a result of the litter fines alone.
41,994 parking fines were issued - but councillors are calling for drivers to be given more ways to pay for parking - including tap and go.
