The Transport Minister says there are no plans to re-introduce Covid restrictions.
The Chief Medical Officer will tell an Oireachtas Health Committee this morning, restrictions in the future can't be ruled out, despite high vaccination rates.
Tony Holohan will tell an Oireachtas Committee the trajectory of the virus is uncertain and we'll remain dependent on rapid self-isolation, mask wearing and robust testing this autumn and winter.
But speaking on his way into Cabinet, Minister Eamon Ryan says there are no plans for this.
"We don't see it, Government isn't considering it.
"If anything, if you look at the numbers of the models it was slightly more pessimistic than it seems to be playing out at the moment.
"If anything, we're seeing a better prognosis than we were three or four weeks ago."
