This year's Electric Picnic has officially been called off.
Organisers say they've run out of time to hold the event as Laois County Council has not reversed its decision to refuse planning permission. The festival said at this short notice they wouldn't be able to put together the event that their audience would hope for and deserve after such a long time.
Ticket holders will be offered a full refund from Ticketmaster, or they can retain their ticket for next year's festival in Stradbally.
Next years event is currently scheduled to take place from the 2nd to the 4th of September, 2022.
