Smith won best actor for his portrayal of the father of Venus and Serena Williams in King Richard.
This came just minutes after he hit actor and comedian Chris Rock on stage - after Rock had made a joke about Will Smith's wife Jada.

She's spoken openly about having a hair loss condition.

Best picture went to Coda while Kenneth Branagh won best original screenplay for "Belfast".
Jane Campion's become the third woman to win best director, taking home the prize for The Power Of The Dog.
Dune was the biggest winner on the night, Denis Veilleneuve's sci fi epic taking home 6 awards, while Billie Eilish won best song for No Time To Die.
