An EU regulation being signed today on short-term rental data collection will have a positive impact on Cork’s self-catering sector.
The Bantry-based Irish Self-Catering Federation says it will quantify the amount of available self-catering in Cork along with raising standards across the industry.
The move will also strengthen the sustainability of the sector by highlighting the important economic role played by small family-run businesses in rural communities.
The Federation is also calling for the introduction of clear planning guielines around the development of glamping and other self-catering businesses.
