#MakesomenoiseCork Presented by Shine A Light Suicide & Mental Health Awareness CLG
Presented by Shine A Light Suicide & Mental Health Awareness CLG
Streamed live by Unity Media Network
From the Firkin Crane Cork @ 7pm to 8.15pm
On Friday 30th July
The main purpose of the event is to raise awareness of positive mental health, and to signpost people to the services and resources in their localities. This is the 3rd year the event is being held, and because of Covid-19 restrictions we are forced to take it online again this year. This past year has been extremely difficult for us as a nation.
People have been very resilient, but also we have come under a lot of pressure as a result of the pandemic, and the challenge is to maintain a positive outlook on how we can move forward and help each other. We can achieve this by reaching out and supporting one another. #MakeSomeNoiseCork for Positive Mental Health.
We are collaborating in this event with Cork City Partnership who are our partners in this event. We network with Cork City Partnership on an ongoing basis and they support us on many other projects.
This event is part sponsored under the Healthy Ireland campaign and a Government of Ireland initiative small grants for 2020 and by Cork City Council.
Myles Gaffney, The Lost Gecko, Dots Tobin are with us again this year. We have changed the line-up for the event again this year by adding some of Cork’s most talented artist’s, special guests, John Spillane & Ger Wolfe, renowned singers’ songwriters and poets. We are delighted to have them on board.
Please join us on the night for information on services in your area and nationally and entertainment by Cork’s finest talent. “Talking is a sign of strength not weakness”
