Gardaí have discovered a large quantity of counterfeit money in North Cork.
Businesses are being urged to be vigilant in checking cash payments.
It's after Gardaí in Mallow found fake notes being tendered in the area
Speaking to RedFM News, Superintendent Gary McPolin says a file is being prepared for the DPP:
"We executed a search warrant in Mallow yesterday and seized a large amount of fake €20 notes. In real terms, it would be a value of about €11,000. These will be sent to the forensic science laboratory for examination, and the file, as we speak, is being compiled and will be forwarded to the DPP for direction."
