The Irish Business Against Litter’s (IBAL) latest national survey is conducted by ‘An Taisce.’
Out of 40 towns surveyed, Fermoy’s positive news was a small light amongst the disappointing news the county received.
Cork’s northside, the city centre and Mahon were three of eight areas deemed ‘Littered.’
‘Littered’ is the third-worst category, followed by ‘Heavily-Littered’ and ‘Litter Blackspot.’
As a whole, almost 70% of the towns surveyed showed an improvement on their results from last year.
Dublin’s North Inner City was the only ‘Litter Blackspot.’
