Food delivery drivers will be staging strike action this Valentine's day.
Its part of a global action protesting at low rates of pay from firms like Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just East.
Riders will will be switching off their delivery apps between 5 and 10 pm.
Fiachra Ó Luain, Labour rights’ officer for the English Language Students’ Union of Ireland, says their basic pay has dropped by 50%.
"We've gone from €4.29 for a basic payment for delivery before 2021, to €2.90 after 2021 and now down to €2.15 - and as low as €1 per delivery.
"People are being asked to risk life and limb going across the city - the algorithms are incentivising risk."
