A former Lord Mayor of Cork says a surge in anti-social behaviour must be "stamped out".
Councillor Deirdre Forde was reacting to numerous reports of alleged incidents involving frighting, intimidation and producing a weapon in areas of the city and suburbs - in recent weeks.
She is appealing to those involved to remember the consequences of their actions - including limiting their job opportunities and their ability to travel overseas.
Speaking to RedFM News, Councillor Deirdre Forde people cannot be left afraid by other people's behaviour:
"Wherever it is, we are going to have to stamp out such behaviour and send a warning shot to anybody who indulges in antisocial behaviour that we can't tolerate it.
