The ex-president was hospitalised in California for a 'non-Covid' related illness.
The 75-year-old has been in intensive care, but this was mainly to give him privacy.
Mr Clinton's condition is not related to his previous heart problems - and he is expected to be returning home soon.
Sky's US correspondent Greg Milam in LA says it's thought he was struck down with sepsis:
"Which can be life threatening in certain situations, it's an infection in the bloodstream. They think this started as a urinary tract infection that spread to the bloodstream, now they've said his condition is not an acute case, so that is good news as well."
