Former US president Donald Trump says we're on the verge of World War Three, after three US troops were killed at a military outpost in Jordan.
They were attacked by a drone, with 34 others being injured near the border with Syria.
It's the first time American military personnel have been killed by enemy fire since the Hamas attacks on Israel in October.
Laura Blumenfeld is a former Senior Policy Adviser to the U.S. State Department and says groups want to inflame the conflict in Gaza.
"As America and the moderate Arab states are inching towards a hostage deal, these radical states and radical non-state actors have every interest in disrupting as we inch towards a ceasefire, to continue the conflagration".
