A 25-year-old man from Cork is still in hospital in Thailand after a serious crash over a week ago.
David Horgan was travelling in Phuket when he crashed his moped and suffered a brain bleed and broke multiple bones in his face and skull on Saturday the 13th of July.
The man from Green Hills Court on the South Douglas Road remains in a critical condition in the intensive care unit in Phuket Hospital and David's family has set up a Go Fund Me to raise funds to bring him home safely.
Meanwhile, A quiz night is being held by David's soccer club Tramore Athletic FC and GAA club Nemo Rangers to raise funds for surgery costs.
Speaking to RedFM News, Conor McCarthy Chairman of David's soccer club Tramore Athletic says his latest surgery went well:
"David suffered a number of cuts and injuries to his skull, and his head. The latest update is David had surgery. Recently, he's after a couple of procedures, his latest surgery went well on Monday, and now it's all about getting him home now and his recovery."
Senior goalkeeper David Horgan was involved in a single-person bike accident in Thailand over the weekend and needs several major operations.
