The funeral has taken place this afternoon of a man killed in a workplace accident in Glanmire last week.
Dan Enright, in his 50s, was repairing a shed roof on a farm in the White's Cross area last Wednesday - when he fell.
His Requiem Mass took place this afternoon at 2 o'clock in St Michael's Church, Upper Glanmire.
In the sermon, Dan was remembered as a kind and hard-working man:
"Dan was an extraordinary man, because he worked so hard to provide for his family. He gave himself in total commitment to any task you undertook. He did it to the best of his ability, meticulously, and in a very practical and precise way. And yet, when someone asked him to do something, or often they didn't even have to ask, he always responded. No task was too big for him as somebody said, if it can be done Dan is the man".
