Cork GAA Chairperson Marc Sheehan says they've written to Munster GAA asking them to reconsider their decision to move the game with Kerry to Killarney.
The game was moved to Fitzgerald Stadium from Páirc uí Rinn last week, with Munster GAA saying that the Cork venue had too small a capacity for the game.
The Cork players and management released a statement to say that they would only play at Páirc uí Rinn last week.
Sheehan says they've asked Munster GAA to reconsider their decision in an interview on the Sunday Game on RTE last night, and says that works on the ground to bring capacity up to 11,000 will be completed on time.
"We are fully aligned in Cork around that decision to write in [to Munster Council].
"The enabling works [in Páirc uí Rinn] which are required, and which had been flagged for quite a number of weeks by Munster Council in the run up to this preparation for this championship, as is the norm, those enabling works will be completed well in advance of May 7th, and we will have safe capacity for 11,000 patrons on that night."
