Part of the plan involves making Páirc Uí Chaoimh a year-round venue
The 'One Cork' plan aims to make Cork GAA one of the most successful sporting organisations in the country, both on and off the pitch and will involve a new programme of investment and commercial activity.
Income will be raised by stadium sponsorship and rental as well as concerts and advertising and will be spent to ensure clubs across the city and county are better resourced.
Cork County Board CEO Kevin O’Donovan told RedFM News that everyone can play a part in the plan:
"We've projected revenue of €20 million over the next five years from the whole combined set of streams in the stadium and the county board, and so on, but it's much more than that, it's a collective effort. Who knows where it can go after that, we're at the starting stage of it now. We believe really that this is a change in direction for us that will just allow us to find a whole new amount of avenues and ideas that we haven't even thought of yet so that's why I'm so excited about it."
