The Gaelic Players Association have asked their members if they're in favour of the Allianz League and Championship going ahead.

Intercounty action resumes on Saturday, with the Cork footballers due to host Louth in Páirc uí Chaoimh in Division 3 on Saturday afternoon.

The Irish Examiner report that on Tuesday the GPA sent out a survey to all of its members asking if they want the season to go ahead or not, or if they would play if Covid-19 protocols were improved, with results expected tomorrow.

Simon Coveney meanwhile has said he has worries for the GAA ahead of the resumption of inter-county action this weekend.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Defence was speaking ahead of a full round of National Football League fixtures set to take place across the country.

Meanwhile, Wexford's senior hurlers have received news of a positive Covid-19 test within their panel.

It casts a doubt on their championship, with a Leinster semi-final against Galway scheduled for October 31st.
