There will be no inter county GAA Championships until July at the earliest due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The GAA issued a statement to that effect yesterday ahead of Friday's remote Special Congress which is expected to hand a Management Committee powers to alter the structure of the hurling and football Championships if and when they resume.
The GAA stress they would like to finish Allianz League games of importance and permit club activity upon any resumption.
Meanwhile, the Ulster Council last night cancelled the start of this year’s Minor Football Championship.
They say it will be played as a straight knockout in tandem with the Senior Championship if and when it resumes.
