Keith Ricken is to be the new Cork senior football boss.
The Saint Vincent’s clubman will succeed Ronan McCarthy
Ricken’s selectors will be Micheál O Cr0inín, Ray Keane, James Loughrey, Barry Corkery and Des Cullinane.
Cork GAA released a statement at lunchtime to say that the County executive will be proposing Ricken’s appointment at the next county committee meeting.
Ricken has been handed a three year term, and has spent the past three years in charge of the under 20 footballers, winning an All Ireland title.
The statement from Cork GAA reads:
"The County Executive will be proposing Keith Ricken (St. Vincent’s) as incoming Senior Football manager on a two year term at our next County Committee meeting.
"Selectors will be as follows: Micheál Ó Cróinín (Naomh Abán), Ray Keane (MTU / St. Finbarr’s), James Loughrey (St. Brigid’s / Mallow), Barry Corkery (Éire Óg) and Des Cullinane (St. Nicholas). Coach to be announced in the near future."
