Mickey Harte was ratified as the Derry senior football boss last night.
The former Tyrone manager has been handed a three year term in charge of the Oak Leaf County, who reached an All Ireland semi final this year and were crowned Ulster champions.
Gavin Devlin will join Harte in Derry - the pair were in charge of the Louth footballers for the past three seasons.
A statement from Derry GAA read:
"Following Tuesday night’s meeting of Coiste Chontae Dhoire, Derry GAA are pleased to announce the senior football management team for the incoming year.
"We wish both the management team and playing panel every success for the 2024 season."
Harte's appointment didn't go down to well though with former Derry star Joe Brolly.
This is the worst thing to happen to Derry since the plantation
