Peter Casey has been cleared to play in the All Ireland Hurling Championship Final.
The Limerick forward was sent off with ten minutes to go in their semi final with Waterford after an altercation with the Deise’s Austin Gleeson.
However the two match ban was rescinded at a Central Hearings Committee meeting yesterday, in which video evidence was used.
Limerick argued successfully the video evidence wasn’t conclusive that Casey had head butted Gleeson - referee John Keenan sent him off after consulting with his umpires.
It means that the corner forward is now free to play against Cork in Croke Park on August 22nd.
