St Finbarrs bridged a 23 year gap to claim the Rebel Og Premier 1 Minor title last night in front of a 200-strong crowd at Páirc Uí Rinn.
A game that lived up to expectations, it was Sarsfields that held the lead at half time with two first half goals courtesy of Ben Nodwell and Flynn O’Brien. The Barr’s took complete control of the second half however, kickstarted with a Jack Cahalane goal which he later duplicated - and cruised home to a 7 point victory.
Ben Cunningham finished the game with 12 points, 7 of which from open play.
2-21 to 3-11 was the final score.
