The 10 year change to the name of Páirc uí Chaoimh was approved last night by delegates at a Cork County Board Meeting.
The stadium will now officially be known as SuperValu Páirc uí Chaoimh going forward.
The proposal was passed unanimously.
The first game to be played in the renamed venue will be tomorrow's rugby clash of Munster and the Crusaders.
The first GAA game to take place at Supervalu Páirc uí Chaoimh will be the Cork versus Kilkenny clash in the Allianz Hurling League tomorrow week.
A brief statement from Cork GAA afterwards read:
"Club delegates to the Cork County Board met this evening to discuss the issue of naming rights for Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
"They voted unanimously to support the renaming of the stadium as “SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh”, effective immediately."
