An investigation is underway into an alleged assault on a Garda in Cork.
The officer was allegedly struck on Oliver Plunkett Hill in Fermoy at around 6 o'clock yesterday evening.
He didn't require medical treatment.
The Irish Examiner report that the plainclothes Garda was allegedly assaulted at an anti refugee demonstration in the town.
In a statement to RedFM news Gardai confirmed that investigations are ongoing, and that no arrests have been made.
