Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following an assault in the city last night that has left a woman with life threatening injuries.
Gardaí arrived at the scene at the Savoy at approximately 8pm and found a woman who was lying on the ground unresponsive.
She was conveyed to Cork University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made in connection with this investigation at this time.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was present in St Patrick's street between 7 and 8pm and who may have information to contact them at Anglesea Street Garda Station on 021 4522 000, and for anyone with dashcam or mobile phone footage to make it available .
