Gardaí are investigating the death of a woman, understood to be in her 20s, at a property in East Cork.
Emergency services were called to an apartment above retail units at the junction of Main Street and Connolly street in Midleton this evening.
First responders discovered a fire at the apartment and units of the town’s Fire Service were called to the scene.
Emergency services remain at the scene and an investigation has been launched.
