Gardai have launched a murder investigation after a 25 year old man was stabbed to death in Tallaght in Dublin.
He died in hospital after being stabbed in the neck during a row on Mac Uilliam Road at around 7:15 last night.
A second man, who's in his 40s, was also injured and is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
It's believed the victim may have known his attacker and Gardai are following a definite line of inquiry but no arrests have been made.
Local councillor Charlie O'Connor has given his reaction.
"It's one of deep shock, and calls I'm getting overnight reflect that.
"People are very upset about the incident, and we have to sympathise with the immediate family of the victim, but also other families who would be affected by this incident.
"I think it's very important for me as a public representative would appeal to people to cooperate with Gardai."
