Gardaí have objected to the renewal of the licence for Rearden’s on Washington Street.
The objection was made because of what happened around the premises on
All-Ireland Hurling Final Sunday in August.
Hanover Street at the rear of Rearden’s was closed off and a large TV screen and other TV screens were erected.
The Irish Examiner reports Gardai told the court there was an obvious breach of the licence that day.
A decision is exepected on December 3 - Reardens is one of Cork’s biggest pubs and employs over 300 people.
