A 44 year old German has been made a formal suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann by Portuguese authorities.
The three year old girl went missing from her family's holiday apartment in Praia Da Luz almost 15 years ago.
Time was running out for authorities there before they would be forced to close the investigation.
Christian B, who is currently serving a prison term for sex offences, denies any involvement in Madeline's disappearance.
