The Health Minister is coming under pressure around the issue of partner restrictions at maternity hospitals including Cork University Maternity Hospital.
The BetterMaternityCare Campaign is to mount a protest outside Dáil Éireann next month as they call for an end to these restrictions, which they say are having a devastating impact on pregnant women.
Cork campaigner Linda Kelly says they are frustrated by Minister Stephen Donnelly's inaction on the matter and now feel they have no choice but to take the matter directly to the Dail.
CUMH has eased some additional restrictions however the group say the hospital is still not in compliance with the national HSE guidelines
Speaking to RedFM News Linda Kelly says they have now been campaigning for change over 12 months:
"We have written to him, we have sought an urgent meeting. He's ignored that request so far, and I don't think he's going to be able to ignore a march right outside the Dáil gates on this issue. It will show how deeply felt this issue is."
