A Hollywood actress, director and writer gave a shoutout to some Cork film students last night.
Greta Gerwig has been nominated for three Oscars between her films Little Women and Ladybird which both star Irish actress Saoirse Ronan.
Most recently, she made the film "Barbie" starring Margot Robbie which grossed 1.4 billion dollars at the box office.
Last night Gerwig spoke to University College Cork students at the London Film Festival:
"Hello to University College Cork, film students especially. Thank you and I hope I can visit you guys one day".
