It’s hoped a new post master for Blarney Post Office will be appointed soon.
An Post is hopeful that a new contractor will be appointed in the coming days.
The current post master at the Post Office is due to finish at the end of May, and An Post couldn’t secure a replacement despite advertising the position three times.
Locals gathered for a show of support last week in a bid to save the post office.
