Volunteers with Inner City Helping Homeless are "dumbfounded" by the tragic death of the charity's founder Anthony Flynn.

The 35-year-old's body was found at a property on Caledon Court in East Wall.

He was suspended from his role with the charity earlier this month due to a Garda investigation into alleged sexual misconduct.

Irish Examiner Political Correspondent Aoife Moore says there's a hope the charity can carry on with its work.

"I spoke to a number of volunteers at Inner City Helping Homeless yesterday and they're just absolutely dumbfounded.

"It had already been a tough month for them with Anthony's suspension, they were all in shock.

"This has just come as another body blow and I think people are really worried and really saddened for Anthony's family and everybody who loved him, and also saddened about what has happened to the charity and people who use the charity - it is an invaluable service."
