Instagram says it's "pausing" the development of a version of its app for under 13s - to give it more time to consult with parents.
It says the idea behind the new platform is to allow parents more control over what their kids are viewing online.
Boss Adam Mosseri says he still wants to go ahead, and topics including negative body image have been researched.
