2,589 Ukrainian people have been placed in temporary accommodation here since the Russian invasion of their homeland.
The International Protection Accommodation Service says it has contracted more than 2,500 hotel rooms, with additional capacity also being pursued through guest houses, B and Bs and accommodation from the general public.
Almost 20,000 pledges for accommodation have been received by the Irish Red Cross.
The Department of Integration says it will begin to accommodate Ukrainian refugees this way over the coming days once vital checks are carried out to ensure the appropriateness of the accommodation and the safety of all involved.
