A 34-year old asylum seeker has ended his hunger strike.

Indian born, Nadim Hussain, currently lives in the Kinsale Road Direct Provision Centre.

He went on hunger strike on the 14th October, after his application to be granted refugee status was refused.

Nadim fears for his life if he returns to India because of anti-Muslim violence in West-Bengal.

Speaking from his hospital bed in CUH, he says he has been given assurances by the Minister of Justice that he will not be deported.
