An asteroid has safely passed by Earth overnight, in one of the closest encounters ever recorded.
NASA insists the space rock - about the size of an elephant - had no chance of hitting the planet though.
And even if it came too close, scientists say most of it would burn up in the atmosphere.
The asteroid - known as 2023 BU - was projected to zoom 2,200 miles above the southern tip of South America.
