He believes a trade deal will be reached by Sunday.
Talks will continue between both sets of negotiators today, with less than two weeks left in the transition period.

Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern says the British have conceded most in the talks, and a deal is likely:
"Barnier must be close enough to 10-nil now. The overall agreement is very close to the rules Barnier set out. His team has, in my view, ran rings around [David] Frost and the others. They've got a lot of victories, I mean the 'level playing field' and the British are saving very close to EU rules. It's such a long way away from the old nonsense we heard back in the autumn of 2015 during the [Brexit] campaign of 2016.
