Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has said he hopes the new Prime Minister takes a new approach on Northern Ireland.
He's been appearing before an Oireachtas committee to discuss the Good Friday Agreement.
Ahern said he can't see legislation to undermine the Northern Ireland Protocol being passed.
He said he hopes negotiations on the deal can begin again soon.
