British PM's chief adviser says he doesn't regret travelling 260 miles from London to Durham during the UK lockdown

The British Prime Minister's chief adviser Dominic Cummings says he does not regret travelling 260 miles from London to Durham during the UK lockdown.

He says what he did was reasonable under the circumstances when he thought he and his wife wouldn't be able to look after their child if they got covid 19.

He also revealed he drove to Barnard Castle days later to check if was ok to drive back to London.

Mr. Cummings says he’s never considered offering his resignation.

Speaking at a press conference Mr Cummings denied it was one rule for him and another for everyone else;
