China is planning to limit teenagers' use of smart phones to two hours or less a day.
Under-8s will be allowed online for a maximum of 40 minutes a day, rising to one hour for 8 to 16 year olds, and 16 to 18 year olds will be allowed two hours a day.
It's believed the rules would be enforced through "minor modes" on smartphones which would also ban internet access between 10pm and 6am.
It's hoped the idea will help increase children's focus on their studies.
