Global company Unispace has acquired Cork company Biopharma Engineering.
Despite the move into the international market, all Irish management will stay in place.
There will be little change on day to day operations in Ireland, other than immediate access to global contracts, clients and markets through the Unispace worldwide network. The new Unispace Centre of Excellence for Life Sciences Design will be based in Cork.
Biopharma Engineering is an indigenous company based in Cork with offices in Dublin also, employing approximately 100 people.
Biopharma Engineering management broke the news to employees, who are currently working from home due to the pandemic, from VE Studio in Blackpool.
There were dial ins from the USA and UK management who couldn't be there due to travel restrictions.
